PASSION PIT
The Reeling video
I directed two music videos, both were collaborations with Ariel Danziger and Sam Stephens. The first Passion Pit’s The Reeling was nominated for breakthrough video of the year at MTV’s VMAs.
To give the video texture and dimension, we built lots of paper props & sets and after filming, printed out every frame. We glued them into blocks and re-photographed them overhead, frame by frame on custom animation stands, tearing through and revealing the images below and giving it it’s steppy, animated feel.
